The increasing rental cost of drilling Rig and the associated painful downtime during operations are some major concerns oil & gas companies. Improper rheological properties mud may cause a variety problems including insufficient cuttings transport, limited solids suspension, poor hole-cleaning excess filtrate loss into formation. Facilitating design, cementing job design entire will save time prompt management companies to devote more their useful resources other significant aspects operations. aforesaid prompted this work invent method for developing mathematical models representing parameters (water-based oil-based mud) enable prediction in emergency situations where when Laboratory services not immediately available. methods applied include testing modelling. Results revealed that can be confidently predict Plastic viscosity Yield stress water based as correlation coefficient (R-squared value) obtained each was higher than 95% Therefore, water-based depend on composition, physical chemical properties, should proactively developed every hole its laboratory
